If he is able to, he might be considered one of the best bodybuilders because of his perfect symmetry and muscle proportions.
Back in the 90’s bodybuilding was a very competitive era.
There was the transition between classic bodybuilding physiques and the physiques that we see to this day.
Some very talented bodybuilder back in the 90’s were Shawn Ray, Kevin Levrone (who also made a comeback in the 2016 Olympia), Paul Dillet, and Dennis James.
Dorian Yates being on of the top bodybuilders in the 90’s along with Flex Wheeler.
Throughout Wheeler’s career he has some minor set backs.
Some of them include:
- 1994 Wheeler was involved in a near-fatal car accident, which could have paralyzed him for his whole life.
- 1999, he found out that he had a kidney disease, which he says is hereditary.
- 2000, Wheeler announced to his fans that he was going to retire from his bodybuilding career.
- But instead he decided to continue until 2002.
We have began to notice an increase in the amount of old school bodybuilders coming back to the Olympia stage.
It will be very interesting to see Flex Wheeler train for his comeback.
