Frequent Sauna Use Can Protect Men From Dementia!
Sometimes after a long workout some of us like to enjoy some time in the sauna.
It can help to relieve stress and sore muscles after a workout.
But surprisingly it is doing more good to your body than you realized.
According to a study conducted by the University Of Easter Finland had concluded that frequent sauna use can reduce risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease in men.
The study was done over 20 years where the participants being middle aged men were split into 3 groups.
- Group one had to use the sauna once a week.
- Groups two used the sauna 2-3 times a week.
- Groups three used the sauna 4-7 times a week.
There was a total of 2,000 participants who took part in this study.
The groups who used the sauna 4-7 times a week was seen to be 66% less likely to get dementia than those using the sauna only once a week.
It was also noted that frequent sauna use was shown to reduce the risk of sudden cardiac death and coronary artery disease.
