It is incredible how much weight some professional and amateur bodybuilder put on during their off seasons.
Obviously during their off season stage they are not in the best of shape but they are building muscle.
The main reason these competitors bulk up so much is because of the dramatic calorie surplus they need to build mass.
However muscle is not the only thing these athletes put on their physiques during this phase.
In fact, they have a tendency to put on some pounds of fat as well which will certainly increase their overall weight.
Despite all that, competitors usually cut a tremendous amount of weight, upwards of twenty pounds of water in order to look their best when they hit the stage.
